Phil interviews Dr. Uri Davis, author of the book Apartheid Israel: Possibilities for the Struggle Within. Dr. Davis describes himself as a Palestinian Jew. He states that Israeli laws reserving 93% of its land for Jews mean that Israel is the only apartheid state in the current UN, and deserves to be singled out for sanctions and boycotts to enforce compliance with international law. His current speaking tour in Canada is focusing on the Jewish National Fund of Canada which, in the guise of a charitable institution, has financed Canada Park. This park is entirely on illegally-occupied territory. Three Arab villages were razed to create the park and their inhabitants expelled and turned into refugees. Dr. Davis urges that charitable status should not be accorded to a Fund that finances what is in fact a crime versus humanity.

Phil also interviews Dr. David Hoile, Director of the European Sudanese Public Affairs Council. Dr. Hoile speaks from Khartoum about the current situation in Darfur, and the campaign by the US to put impossible demands on the government of Sudan to prepare the way for intervention.

An exclusive feature interview live from Al-Fasher, Darfur, with Dr. David Hoile, Director of the European Sudan Public Affairs Council. Phil talks to Dr. Hoile about the current situation in Darfur and the US charge of genocide. Dr. Hoile points out that Médecins Sans Frontières had gone on the record to say that it is not genocide. He describes the humanitarian crisis as the result of a complex war involving well-armed rebel groups with outside backing, various militias, bandits and the Sudan military. The rebels are attempting to destabilize the government of Sudan, perhaps on behalf of powerful interests who have their eye on Darfur's resources. Phil and Dr. Hoile also talk about the Clinton administration's criminal Tomahawk missile strike on a Sudanese pharmaceutical factory in 1998.

Phil notes the death July 23 of Wilton Mkwayi, at the age of 81. Mkwayi was a founder of the armed wing of the ANC, Umkhonto We Sizwe; served 20 years in the jails of apartheid South Africa; and was treasurer of the South African Congress of Trade Unions.

Toronto lawyer David Jacobs, talks to Phil about the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the trials of Pastor Elizaphan Ntakirutimana and his son Dr. Gerard Ntakirutimana. Jacobs, who represented Gerard Ntakirutimana, reveals the systematic unfairness of the Tribunal and misconduct of the prosecution in these trials. Witnesses at the Tribunal testify in case after case, under a different pseudonym in each case, and change their story in each trial. Yet these witnesses are accepted by the Tribunal.

Phil also talks about the current situation in Darfur and his conversation with Dr. David Hoile of the European Sudan Public Affairs Council. Phil notes Colin Powell’s accusation of genocide against the Sudan Government is given credence by the media despite his blatant lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and the US mugging of President Aristide of Haiti.
